Meet the Artist

Non-binary artist and illustrator Em Conquest creates playful work that appeals to their inner child. They secretly believe in magic and hidden worlds, full of whimsical creatures entertaining the mischief that ventures along. Conquest’s work is shaped by their appreciation for flora, fauna, and the nuances of our existence. 

Handmade watercolors bring charm to their world of delight, shaping each work with vibrant strokes of color, while texture and fine detail is introduced through the abundant brushes of Adobe Fresco. Conquest’s pottery meets function with illustration, bringing their stories to life on a three-dimensional plane.  

When they’re not creating things of their wildest dreams, the artist can be found curating a collection of tiny trinkets, lost in fantasy novels, or tending to their garden. They live in central Connecticut with their sweet cat and studio assistant, Luci.
